About me

A speech pathologist
who is also a teacher.

With over 30 years' experience, I support children, adolescents and adults as they navigate challenges in language, literacy and communication. I've worked across Government, Catholic and Independent schools, and specialist medical settings — giving me a deep understanding of how individuals are supported, and how to help families and adults navigate those pathways with clarity and confidence.

Literacy is more than an academic skill: it shapes confidence, identity and opportunity. I co-authored Nelson Phonics, hold a Master of Teaching (Primary), and work part-time in a Year 1 classroom — close to the everyday experience of learning. I'm trained in Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and trauma-informed care, and my approach is calm, structured and collaborative.

How I work

A clear, structured approach —
thorough assessment, practical support.

01

Careful assessment

In-depth assessment to understand the underlying difficulties that affect reading, writing and communication.

02

Individualised intervention

Evidence-informed support tailored to each learner's strengths and needs.

03

Collaborative partnership

Working with families, teachers and referring medical practitioners to ensure clarity and consistency.

04

Reporting & guidance

Comprehensive reporting and practical guidance to support meaningful, lasting progress.

Areas of support

For children, adolescents
and adults.

01

Language

Talking, listening, finding the right words, following what's said — and the underlying language skills that support it all.

02

Reading & literacy

Sounding out words, reading smoothly and understanding the text, with strong phonological foundations.

03

Spelling & writing

How words are built so spelling becomes dependable, and getting ideas onto the page with clear grammar and structure.

04

Assessment & reporting

Calm, structured assessment — including ASD assessment — with reporting that helps families and schools move forward.

For parents, adults, GPs and teachers. In person in Colonel Light Gardens, Adelaide, and by telehealth across Australia.

In families' words

“A few warm words from a family will sit here, in their own voice and with their permission — once we add your testimonials.”
